Gryphon Technologies, LC was founded in 1996 and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Headquartered in Riverdale, Maryland, Gryphon has over 250 employees (over 93% of them have an engineering or scientific background) with offices in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Mississippi, Florida, and California. Gryphon's primary customers are the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, in particular: the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA); the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command; the Naval Surface Warfare Center; the Naval Air Systems Command; the Space and Warfare Systems Command; Strategic Systems Programs; and the Office of Naval Research.

Gryphon has enjoyed an outstanding record of success providing a spectrum of services in support of system acquisition programs for the Navy and Marine Corps. Examples include concept development and requirements analysis, systems engineering, combat systems engineering, system installation support, test and evaluation support, maintenance and repair services, as well as life cycle support analysis. Because of Gryphon's outstanding past performance, NAVSEA nominated Gryphon for the Small Business Administrator Award for Excellence, which was awarded to Gryphon in May 2001.

Gryphon also has contracts with a number of other Government and commercial clients in support of their information technology infrastructure and web site development including web enabled databases (e.g., Naval Research Laboratory, the Bureau of Land Management, and Navy Training Systems). Our expertise in Information Technology was recognized by the top minority-owned firm Industry Information Technology Award in October 2002.
