Técnico Corporation was founded in 1990 by Rafael Torrech III. Técnico is recognized as a quality leader within the marine and industrial repair and fabrication industry.

Técnico strives to exceed client's expectations. Since Técnico's founding, they have maintained a sound business base in the ship repair industry and a solid reputation as a first-rate provider of services.

Técnico is moving forward. They are positioned within the industry to sustain our rate of growth and to move to even greater levels of service and success.

Técnico customers include ship owners, major U.S. Shipyards, the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and other military organizations. Técnico is called upon frequently to mobilize crews and provide services in ports worldwide and offshore. Técnico is prepared to develop fixed prices for turnkey operations performing interior outfitting, accommodations packages, and general ship repair to passenger, commercial, and naval vessels. Técnico is certified to support pressure vessel (e.g., boilers, hyperbaric chambers) construction and repair.

Our team has an extensive knowledge of materials and interior finishes along with a thorough understanding of applicable regulations such as those set forth by the International Maritime Organization - Safety of Life at Sea Convention (IMO-SOLAS), the United States Coast Guard (USCG), the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), and Lloyd's Register.
